Nov. 7: Off. Quads were still a bit sore, especially the right one. Definitely could have run, and wanted to, but thought it would be better if I waited another day.

Nov. 8: A & W 42:02. Run came just in time as I was starting to go a little bit crazy. Generally was a good run. My quads are still pretty fatigued and the right one is a little sore, but generally it was just that they felt heavy. Had a normal stride, no need to adjust in any way, and it felt good. Another week of keeping things pretty easy and I should be ready to go.

A couple of 30 mile weeks for me to finish off October. A brief warm spell as well before a hoped-for first snow this coming weekend.

Last Sunday, while many were dancing their way through NYC, I subjected myself to the "Driveway Butte Hillclimb." 3 miles of steep ascent for the sake of "ski training" -- that is, I joined the truely dedicated ski racing crowd in some lactic acid torture.

It had been FAR too long since I felt like that in a workout - or had it? Anyway, I hacked like an indoor track racer for the rest of the day.

Sarah also had me try some yoga for the first time ever... just a couple of 30 minute DVD sessions from the library. Tom, THIS is most definitely the cause of your lower abdominal strainaj situationaj. Be careful with that stuff!
